Yushan Forum
The 2019 Yushan Forum: Asian Dialogue for Innovation and Progress is organized by the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation (TAEF). The Yushan Forum serves as a platform for Asian regional dialogue and features the achievements of governmental and non-governmental cooperation between Taiwan and its neighboring partner countries. Based on the unique experiences and common visions of Taiwan for regional prosperity, and as illustrated by its 2019 theme, the Forum aims to foster social connectivity for Asia’s next generation based on innovation and progress, alongside promoting multifaceted regional linkages and strengthening partnerships.

The Yushan Forum: Asian Dialogue for Innovation and Progress (ADIP) is a platform for Asian regional dialogue initiated by Taiwan. With the theme of “Deepening Progressive
Partnerships in Asia”, 2019 Yushan Forum
focuses on the progressive partnerships and
achievements in economic and technological exchange, talent cultivation, sustainable development,
as well as those related to civil society partnership,
think tank collaboration, cultural exchange,
and youth leadership.
The keynote speeches and notable talks in this
year’s Yushan Forum were separately delivered
by H.E. President Tsai Ing-wen, Republic of
China (Taiwan); Rt. Hon. Stephen Harper,
Former Prime Minister of Canada; Mr. Keiji
Furuya, Member of House of Representatives,
Japan; Ms. Sarah Sanders, Former Spokesperson
of the White House; and Ms. Sandra
Oudkirk, U.S. Senior Official for APEC and
Deputy Assistant Secretary for Australia, New
Zealand, and the Pacific Islands, Bureau of East
Asian & Pacific Affairs, Department of State.
